Piaggio combines high quality and state-of-the-art technologies and safety features with a simple, practical, and light electric scooter, and prepares to take to the streets of Turkey with 100% electric Piaggio One. With its easily removable battery, superior safety features, high baggage capacity, and iconic design, 100% electric scooters in three different versions, Piaggio One, One + and One Active, will be offered to the Turkish market from February with the assurance of Doğan Trend.

Piaggio adds a brand new 100% electric model to these quality and high demand models, revolutionizing the world of scooters. Driven by an electromotor integrated in the rear wheel and capable of producing power up to 50 cc scooters, the Piaggio 1 is a breakthrough brand in the e-scooter class, proving once again that it is at the forefront of developing intelligent solutions for urban transportation. The brand's all-new electric mobility solution combines agility and lightness for urban transportation with minimalism and practicality, as well as Piaggio-specific quality and reliability, bringing them together as a highly modern e-scooter. Piaggio 1, which will be available in our country from February, attracts attention with its attractive design, advanced comfort level, and prominent level of ease of use, as well as advanced technological features such as digital color indicators, full led lighting, and keyless start system. 

Three different versions with two different battery types:

•    PIAGGIO 1
Available in two assorted color themes, the Piaggio 1 is equipped with a 1.4 kWh battery weighing 10 kg. It offers a maximum speed of 45 km/h, a range of up to 55 km in ECO* mode, and a range of up to 48 km in SPORT mode (according to WMTC data).

•    PIAGGIO 1+
Equipped with a higher capacity 2.3 kWh battery of 15 kg, the Piaggio 1+ version offers a maximum speed of 45 km/h, a range of up to 100 km in ECO* mode and a range of up to 68 km in SPORT mode (according to WMTC data).

•    PIAGGIO 1 ACTIVE
The maximum speed of this version, which meets the consumer with a higher capacity 2.3 kWh battery weighing 15 kg as it is in the PIAGGIO 1 active1+ version, is 45 km/h. The Piaggio 1 Active version, which is visually distinguished from other versions by its red decorations on the rear swing, offers up to 85 km in ECO* mode and up to 66 km in SPORT mode (according to WMTC data).

Flawless Italian design

The unique design of the model embraces the minimalism required by urban electric transportation, while not compromising on impressive design, superior material quality, and the artisanship specific to Piaggio scooters. At the top of the screen, which has both compact and protective features, there is a "tie" icon unique to Piaggio vehicles. The led headlights complement the vehicle's clean and curved sidelines to support the dynamic appearance. The stylish and slim rear end again with LED slim taillights. 

The feeling of quality is not only manifested in materials and workmanship. In addition, details such as the special three-dimensional hexagonal pattern inspired by the Piaggio logo, which gives movement to the surfaces of the front granules and side panels, and the double seat covering with a shiny surface on the sides, represent the attention to detail.

Ergonomic and comfortable handling details

In addition to the ease of use in the city, ergonomics is also one of the most essential elements in the design of the model. Despite its compact dimensions, the seat-stool-handlebar triangle reveals the same proportions as traditional scooters in the Piaggio product range. These dimensions provide a comfortable driving position thanks to a partially flat and wide footrest, while the passenger uses practical and robust folding footrests. The handlebar design supports ease of use. 

Piaggio 1 has many features that make it functional and usable in the city. Saddle is among them. The saddle, which is comfortable and ergonomic with its 770 mm height, allows every user to safely step on the ground with their feet at any time. There is also a practical bag hook and a USB port with a waterproof rubber cover in the leg protection area.

Multi-purpose LCD on-board computer

The large 5.5-inch digital color LCD screen, which is coarse plastic-free, adapts the background and font color according to the light intensity (day/night mode) thanks to the light sensor, thus always offering a perfect view. Driving information is simple and easy to read, but it is shown on the screen with an extremely aesthetic graphic. There is a speedometer in the center. This is circled by driving information, including the energy level (consumed or recovered while driving), battery charge level, and remaining range. Driving information, including instantaneous and average energy consumption, journey time, total and daily odometer (Road A and B), can be selected using the MODE button on both the instrument panel and the left control block. Driving mode is shown at the bottom of the screen. The driving modes can be selected using the MAP button on the right control block.

Charging at 220 volts in 6 hours

With its battery design that can be easily separated and transported, charging process becomes quite easy. The lithium-ion battery, like modern smartphones, requires no maintenance or special precautions. To charge it, simply connect it to the charger that came with the vehicle. The standard time required for full charging is 6 hours with 220 Volt energy. The battery provides excellent efficiency for up to 800 full charging cycles. It maintains 70% of battery capacity even after 800 charging cycles and offers excellent handling.

Maximum practicality thanks to the removable battery

Piaggio 1 is designed to make battery charging as easy as possible. That way, the range is no problem when commuting from home to work or traveling around the city. The battery can be removed in just a few seconds by disconnecting the wiring that connects the battery to the vehicle in all versions. The battery with a handle can be easily transported and easily recharged in a home or office environment.

Alone in a class of e-scooters with high under saddle capacity

The battery is in the under-saddle compartment. However, it does not require compromising functionality. Piaggio 1 is the only e-scooter in its class that offers significant luggage capacity with a full-size Jet (jaw open) helmet and under seat storage compartment. The seat can be unlocked with the ignition key and when the battery is removed, it can be locked with the key hidden in the remote control and the special lock on the left side panel.

Performance, power, and efficiency combined

The electric motor, which integrates power into the rear wheel hub, has been developed with Piaggio's special technology. This application also contributes to making the layout of the e-scooter simple and compact. When using an electromotor that generates 1.2 kW in the 1 and 1 + versions, an electromotor of 2 kW in the 1 Active version is activated. The electric motors offer an equivalent performance to conventional 50 cc scooters and provides a continuously lively and aggressive driving pleasure with the character that offers high traction from the moment of the first movement of the electric motors. 

Thanks to the lightweight construction, the modern lithium-ion battery, and the efficient kinetic energy recovery system (KERS) that charges the battery during deceleration, all Piaggio 1 versions create a user-friendly structure with an advanced range level. The range reaches up to 100 km in the 1+ version.

Lightweight, robust, and safe 

Piaggio 1 incorporates the same technical solutions as traditional Piaggio scooter models. The Piaggio 1 is an extremely lightweight vehicle (75 Kg excluding battery, 79 Kg in 1 Active version), without compromising advanced chassis architecture. Designed to withstand the stress of improved performance and urban use, the chassis consists of pressed steel elements and steel pipe with a prominent level of rigidity. The suspension system, which rests on a single-arm fork with a coil spring and hydraulic shock absorber at the front and a double hydraulic shock absorber at the rear, offers superior driving comfort and driving safety. Both the front and rear 175 mm diameter hydraulic disc brakes provide effective braking performance, while the 1 Active version also offers the GIS brake function.
