The members of the association will give training to the students!
Speaking at the meeting, YATED President Alpaslan Sirkecioğlu mentioned their cooperation with Haydarpaşa Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School. Sirkecioğlu said, "The 23 students who were admitted to the YATED Workshop in the 2019-2020academic year are now studying in the 12th grade. 18 of these students are interns at the companies of YATED members. In 2022, they will take their diplomas and enter the sector or continue their undergraduate education. I believe they will be remarkably successful no matter what option they choose. This year, a total of 32 10th grade students have joined our project, and they will graduate in 2024. In the coming years, we will graduate at least 30 students every year and train valuable and useful personnel for our sector and country. Apart from the curriculum of the Ministry of National Education, our students will be given motor education by our members and visits will be made to get to know the company and workshop."
The goal is to achieve service quality to automotive industry standards!
Hakan Kozanoğlu, Suzuki Marine Operations and Mobility Business Development Group Manager, also stated that training world-class effective human resources with a command of engine and equipment technology will play a critical role in solving the intermediate problem. Mr. Kozanoğlu said, "Despite the outboard engine market that has developed in our country in the last two years with up to 8,000-unit sales annually, service points and especially human resources are not increasing at the same rate." "This situation causes customer expectations to be not met and waiting times to be prolonged. Our expectation is to bring new faces to the industry under the leadership of young people who will grow up in this class and to bring the service quality in the industry to the standards of the automotive sector."
"We aim to adapt our students to the field as soon as possible"
Explaining that Suzuki Marine donated a marine engine with an electronic ignition system of 20 horsepower to the Yacht and Boat Engines Workshop Project, a diagnostic measuring device and a pool where the engine can operate, Mr. Kozanoğlu said, "We want to enable students to turn their theoretical knowledge into practice even when they are in class. In addition, while our training support continues, we aim to adapt our students to the field as soon as possible by providing internship support both within our organization and in our authorized services. It is our greatest wish that the examples of these initiatives for our young people across the country will increase. Suzuki Marine will continue to be on the side of projects that support the industry, and especially those related to the education of young people."
Haydarpaşa Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School Manager Lütfü Cevahir thanked both YATED and the companies supporting the project and said, "I would like to inform other non-governmental organizations and our businessmen that we are ready to become mutual solution partners."
